HSS Armenian Club Co-Founder and Co-President

I co-founded the Armenian Club at my high school to address the lack of Armenian representation in our school community and to create a space where Armenian-American students can connect with their heritage. As co-president, I lead a team of four officers and manage more than twenty members, organizing bi-weekly meetings that feature lesson plans, cultural activities, and advocacy projects centered on Armenian culture, language, and politics. The club has become a safe, inclusive space for both Armenian and non-Armenian students to engage, learn, and celebrate identity. In addition to community building, I’ve worked directly with school administration to write a remembrance piece on the Armenian Genocide, which was published in a district-wide newsletter emphasizing the importance of Armenian Genocide education. Leading the club has been a meaningful way to combine cultural pride with leadership and advocacy.
