HSS Peer Leader

As one of fourteen students selected to represent the Class of 2026, I serve as a Peer Leader and Social Media Manager at High School South. In this role, I organize monthly meetings for over 100 freshmen, lead orientation for more than 400 new students, and provide individual support to international students as they transition into the school community. I’ve also helped run 15 school-wide functions that promote a positive climate for all students, working alongside administrators to model leadership and uphold school values. Managing our peer leader Instagram account has allowed me to extend this work online, building community with over 300 followers. Being a Peer Leader has been one of my favorite ways to express school spirit, and it’s especially rewarding to help new and international students feel welcome from their very first day.
